Title of Event: Violence-free Life for Women and Girls: Best Practices from Uganda
Description: Women activists from Uganda will present innovative approaches to addressing violence against women and girls in Uganda.

Title of Event: Human Security – what does it mean for women survivors of violence in India?
Description: Panel will cover the issues of violence against women in India with specific reference to women affected by conflict and other structural factors. In addition, it will seek to bring in critical reflections of UNSCR 1325 and the need for a National Action Plan in India. Two publications (Critical reflections on 1325 & Research report on violence against women) will be released at the event.

This meeting will also identify lobbying strategies to ensure that the perspectives of women peace activists and women human rights defenders are reflected in the Agreed Conclusions.
